Superintendent’s Briefing:
The Superintendent’s briefing convened at 6:30 PM. Mr. Rege, Superintendent of Schools, reviewed the evening’s agenda and recent transportation complaints.

Introduction of New Principals
Mr. Rege introduced the following newly appointed principals: January Wilson, Principal of Streiber School, Matthew Francis, Principal of Bellamy Middle School and Tammie Mills-Moore, Principal of Lambert-Lavoie School.
MASC Policy Support Services
Patricia Correira gave a brief presentation on the various policy support services provided by the Massachusetts Association of School Committees.

A motion was made by Mrs. Lecca to reinstate, for the 2006-2007 school year only, all eliminated bus stops for Fairview Veterans Memorial Middle School and Streiber School as they were during the 2005-2006 school year and to refer these stops to the School Safety Committee, which should include three parents from the schools involved, to review prior to the 2007-2008 school year.

Voted: On motion by Mrs. Wojcik to grant permission to the City Clerk to use the following sites for State Primary Elections (September 19, 2006) and State Elections (November 7, 2006): Barry School, Bellamy Middle School, Bowe School, Chicopee Academy, Litwin School, Selser School and Stefanik School.
