Absent were Marjorie Wojcik, Michael Pise, Donald Lamothe and Sharon Nawrocki.

Superintendent’s Briefing:
The Superintendent’s briefing convened at 6:30 PM. Mr. Rege, Superintendent of Schools, reviewed the evening’s agenda.
Call To Order:
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Bissonnette, Chairperson, at 7:00 PM and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Report on Truancy
Voted: On motion by Mr. Cutter to have Officer Canata come to the next School Committee meeting to report on the progress being made on truancy in our schools

Referral to Subcommittee
Voted: On motion by Mrs. Costello to refer to the Policy and Human Resources Subcommittee a policy noting that a two-thirds vote of the School Committee as a whole is needed for termination of the Superintendent – this policy would be consistent with the hiring of the Superintendent.

Two-Year Moratorium
Voted: On motion by Mrs. Lecca to have administration research the moratorium placed on naming facilities at Chicopee High School.
